Day 26 and 27: Day 27–Friday—7/10: Andrea’s birthday in Canada, swimming in the lake, bike riding, playground near campground. Day 26–Thursday—7/9: 6.5 hour drive from Bothell, WA to Clearwater Canada. Staying at Dutch Lake RV Resort. Swimming in the lake; jumping off the docks.

 Day 27--Friday 7/10--Andrea's Birthday

We started today cooking eggs, bacon, and pancakes outside overlooking Dutch Lake.  We then just hung out locally and just relaxed.  We rode our bikes to a nearby playground and played a while.  Then we swam in the lake and just enjoyed spending time with Andrea on her birthday.  We’re all lucky to have her.  She’s now got high expectations for birthday presents too, since I’ve taken her to Canada the last 2 years in a row.  We went out to dinner in town and then came back and swam in the lake some more and watched the next Harry Potter movie.  It was a nice relaxing day and birthday.

Day 26--Thursday  7/9--Drive from Seattle to Clearwater (Dutch Lake)

We got up early and drove 6.5 hours to Clearwater—the halfway point between Seattle and Jasper, Alberta where we are headed next.  We’re staying at Dutch Lake 4 nights.  It was nice to have a lazy afternoon sitting on the docks at the lake.   We swam and jumped in the lake for a few hours. Andrea even took an afternoon siesta.  We watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory since the kids had never seen it and since we’d just toured a chocolate factory the day before.   They enjoyed it.  The heat wave is up here in Canada as well—100.5 degrees outside our RV at 5 pm.  Glad we have a wonderful lake to swim and play in to stay cool.
