Our last day in Grant’s Pass was spent mostly doing laundry
and tidying up the motorhome. Sarah had
a great time playing with the eleven-year-old girls staying at the campsite
next to us, and Sam and Ryan went tubing down the Rogue River one last time. They really had fun! It was a nice.

Then we drove about 30 minutes to Jacksonville, where my
(Andrea’s) good friend Cristie from high school lives. On the way, we stopped at REI to replace my
missing hiking shoes, so now I’m all set for our upcoming hikes! It was really great to see Cristie’s
family. We spent a lot of time catching
up while the kids played with their kids who are 13, 11 and 9, and they made a
nice barbeque dinner for us. We then
went for a walk around Jacksonville, which is a really cute, small gold mining
town. We can see why they’re so happy to
live there. We bought ice cream for the
kids and enjoyed our tour until we realized how late it was getting. As we left, Ryan said “Can we visit them
again?” I told him we’d all love to.

How fun to visit Cristie's family up in Oregon! Looks and sounds like you all had a fantastic time. I'm really enjoying your travel blog so much, and Mom wanted to let you know that she is as well. Happy Fourth of July, everyone!
